Join us for a workshop on “Start-ups, PR and Media” on Friday, 4 September 2015, 4pm to 6pm at NUS Enterprise@Blk71. The workshop will discuss how startups can successfully engage the media and other stakeholders to meet business objectives, including funding, valuation, brand building, product promotion, customer acquisition, and lead generation.

The session will be helmed by Patrick Keenan, Managing Director of Litmus PR. Litmus has worked with a number of Singapore and international startups to drive their businesses forward, including in the adtech, fintech, cloud, data, mobile, telco and consumer sectors.

Guest speakers include Victoria Ho, Asia Editor at Mashable, who will provide insights into engaging with the media, and Lynette Seah, Founder and CEO of Alpha7, who will share how to bring the Fortune500 experience to your startup, SME, enterprise within an APAC context.

Patrick Keenan, Managing Director at Litmus PR

Patrick has some 20 years consulting experience at the national, regional and global levels, advising companies, brands and organisations. He established and runs Litmus PR, a public relations agency that has worked with many start-ups and is itself a start-up. Patrick is also a guest lecturer at the National University of Singapore, conducting media and stakeholder lectures for executive education programs. 

Victoria Ho, Asia Editor at Mashable

Based in Singapore, Victoria is the Asia Editor for Mashable. Prior to Mashable, she was Senior Editor for social entertainment platform migme. Victoria has 10 years experience as a business and tech reporter, writing for TechCrunch, ZDNet, The Business Times, Nikkei and others. When she isn’t writing, Victoria is a songwriter and the lead singer of local band Tricks & Cider, which has performed in Singapore, Hong Kong and LA.

Lynette Seah, Founder and CEO of Alpha7

Lynette is the Founder and CEO of Alpha7, which provides best-of-breed cloud technology solutions, along with advisory services and technical expertise for businesses in Singapore and the Asia Pacific region. She has over 25 years’ experience in finance, operations, business and project management. Lynette’s expertise lies in helping businesses improve their bottom lines, by leveraging people, processes and technology. Prior to founding Alpha7 in 2014, she was Vice President of Finance and Strategy (APAC) at Salesforce.com for eight years. She also held senior finance roles at PwC, JD Edwards and Interwoven.
