Job Description
- Perform a 'quality check' on publications, just before posting online
- Act as a fresh pair of eyes, spotting any mistakes others might have missed
Proofreaders check that:
• the text matches the original
• spelling and style are correct and consistent
• headings and captions are correct
• photos and illustrations are correctly captioned
Proofreaders need to be:
• scrupulous about detailed work
• skilled in written English
• self-motivated
• good at concentrating for long spells
• good communicators
• always up-to-date with the latest happenings
in Singapore
• interested in swing over to editing job in the future
Qualification:
• English or Journalism Major preferred but not necessary
Hours and environment:
• Maximum 2 hours per day/Flexible hours
