So you have your start-up idea, your product, your company; now what? How do you make it real, make it work? What do you need to do……secure funding?…recruit the right people?…develop partnerships?…launch into the market?…market, promote, sell?

Join us for a workshop on ‘Start-ups and Public Relations’. The session will be led by Patrick Keenan, Managing Director of Litmus PR, who will discuss how to engage the media and other stakeholders to meet business objectives, including funding, valuation, brand building, market education, product promotion, lead generation and customer acquisition. Litmus has worked with a number of Singapore and international start-ups to drive their business forward, including in the adtech, cloud, data, mobile, payment, platform, search, telco and consumer sectors.

Patrick will be joined by Gabey Goh, Editor at Digital News Asia, and by Vasha Azoor, Director, Nielsen.

Patrick Keenan, Managing Director, Litmus PRPatrick has some 20 years consulting experience at the national, regional and global levels, advising companies, brands and organisations. He established and runs Litmus PR, a public relations agency that has worked with many start-ups and is itself a start-up. Patrick is also a guest lecturer at the National University of Singapore, conducting media and stakeholder lectures for executive education programs. He is also a Board Member of the Foreign Correspondents Association.

 

Gabey Goh, Editor at Digital News Asia

Gabey Goh is an Editor at Digital News Asia, an independent technology news portal focused on South-East Asia. Now based in Singapore, Gabey cut her journalism teeth in Malaysia with The Malay Mail as a reporter on the news beat before joining the lifestyle desk as Assistant Editor, specialising in technology. She then honed those teeth into fangs as Editor of Advertising + Marketing Magazine & A+M Daily e-Newsletter. Her on-going interest in technology saw her returning to the beat when she joined The Star, Malaysia’s No 1 English daily, as a journalist for the popular StarBytz tech pull-out. She took charge of many of the pull-out’s social and digital media initiatives, and continues to write her Gabberish column for the paper’s MetroBiz section.

 

Vasha Azoor, Director, Nielsen

Vasha has over 15 years of experience in insights and marketing research both qualitative and quantitative, and works as a Client Business Partner for Singapore and Malaysia clients to ensure that their research investment is fully leveraged at Nielsen. With a really great gut feel for marketing, a nose for opportunity, extensive experience and a broad spectrum of research skills, Vasha is able to interpret data and deliver what’s really needed – providing brands and businesses with clear and succinct recommendations. She has a passion for innovation, having worked on developing new products for Cheese at Kraft Australia and also successfully launching many new products at L’Oreal. She previously managed the market research function of L'Oreal Australia and New Zealand, as well as teaching Buyer Behaviour at Monash University.
